October 3, 2009 - Open all day with opening of show "All About Trees" several of the Galleries artist, BJ Dollahite, Matt Dollahite, James Moore, Steve Hill, Christopher Gerber and Ann Walbert.

Gallery San Juan located at 232 A Street, will be having an Encaustic Demo with artists Christopher Gerber from 6-8PM October 3, during the show. Gallery San Juan will be offering a chance to win $100. In " Artbucks". The drawing will take place at 7PM during the opening show October 3, Must be present to win.

October 4th Gallery San Juan Open from 10am - 6PM. With a Demo by local Collage artists Bj Dollahite at 3pm. Enter to win a Limited Edition Poppy Print by BJ Dollahite. Drawing for print at 3:00pm. Must be present to win.

Showcasing over 150 different local artists in all forms of media imaginable, there is something here for everyone to appreciate and admire. Live demonstrations in the creation of truly unique jewelry by Riki Schumacher and hand painted glassware by Nancy Fiala will take place during Artstock 2009. Live music with San Juan Island's own Play Rite Boys, Teddy Deane and Jonathon Piff on Saturday.

Joan Stuart Ross & Kathryn Trigg
Mixed media paintings. Award winning artist, Joan Stuart Ross creates mulit-layered abstracted encaustic paintings that are composed of layers of colorful wax. Kathryn Trigg works in layered monotypes, creating soft edged painting that can be vibrant in color. Both Joan and Kathryn are creating textured paintings that are sensual and playful to behold.
